South Carolina may very well be one of the most overlooked teams in the SEC this season.

That could bode well for the Gamecocks as they make a run at a division title, but don’t expect them to make it too far with the likes of Alabama, Georgia and then Florida on the schedule by the end of October. Even after those three gauntlet games, the Gamecocks will face Tennessee on the road, Texas A&M in College Station and then Clemson to close out the year.

More from Florida Gators

Is there potential for a Jake Bentley-led squad to finish with 8-9 wins? Absolutely, but that means they’ll have to be perfect against teams such as North Carolina, Missouri, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and even Appalachian State while winning two out of the six of the above mentioned games versus potentially ranked teams.

Fresh off a loss at Georgia, South Carolina will get a chance to make up for it with a home win over Florida, but don’t expect the Gators to just roll over here.

This will be one of those back-and-forth tough games which may seem like a sure win, on paper, but will be an absolute dog fight.

Final Score: Florida 30, South Carolina 24 (7-1, 4-1)
