A surprisingly successful 2018 season laid the foundation for 2019’s sky-high expectations for Florida football. Here’s what Gator Nation can expect in 2019.

The swag is back. The winning is back. The Gators are back.

After just one season of expectation-shattering outcomes, Gainesville was again buzzing with college football dreams. Behind Dan Mullen and his offensive wizardries, the 2018 Gators were again fun, again relevant. All of which portends great accomplishments in 2019.

Then the offseason hit, and it hit hard.

Controversy, loss of highly rated recruits and injuries have all taken their toll on the positive momentum surrounding the Florida program. The season couldn’t start fast enough.

Though the energy is a bit dampened, expectations are not. Gator Nation is as hopeful as ever for a victory over Georgia, a trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship and even a College Football Playoff appearance. Fans expect to see the offense take another step forward and the defense to maintain their high level of play.
