Florida Gators: 5 reasons Gators will beat Miami in Week 0

3. Question marks on offense for Miami

Last season, it was very clear what held the Hurricanes back. Miami struggled mightily moving the ball, particularly because of the quarterbacks who struggled throughout the season, as mentioned above.

But overall, Miami’s offense was putrid last season, ranking 104th in yards per game, and overall being one of the worst units in college football.

To make matters worse, the position they were in last year seems about the same this season: quarterback and offensive line are still major question marks heading into the season.

While I think they do improve on the offensive side of the ball, beating the Gators’ defense that rated as 28th in the country feels like a tall task in Week 0. Jarren Williams’ first collegiate start will be a tough one as the Gators will eat him up thanks to an offensive line struggling and a hungry Florida defense.
