1. Utah is the clear favorite to win the Pac-12

Nothing such as this overreaction will have any credibility after one week of action. This goes for every team around the country except for Tennessee. Sorry, Vols fans, but your team isn’t doing anything this season after losing to Georgia State.

Even though Utah pulled away and looked dominant against BYU in the second half, there’s clearly work to be done.

Rust has to be shaken off from Tyler Huntley even though he did complete 13-of-16 passes. He threw for just 103 yards and was ultra conservative with his throws all night. He needs to get back to his dominant ways. If he’s not back to his 2018 pre-injury form, the Utes could be in trouble.

The defense did look solid even though it gave up over 200 passing yards, but that’s an area of strength for this team, especially the front-seven.

Utah may have looked like one of the best Pac-12 teams in Week 1, but it’s far too early to call the Utes the clear favorite just because of an 18-point win over BYU.
