1. Get Van Jefferson the ball

There have been been two types of Gators’ offenses to start the season: the offense where Van Jefferson gets the ball and the one where he doesn’t.

In the game against Miami, the Gators were struggling throughout, and Jefferson had only one reception for 14 yards. In Week 2, he caught four catches for 94 yards and a long 69-yard touchdown.

Jefferson is the best playmaker on the team, and Kentucky has shown through its first two games that is susceptible to big plays in the passing game, so getting him involved early and often is the most important thing to the success of the Gators to provide an outlet for Franks, and give the Gators the big plays it will need to be successful in this game and all of the SEC schedule it has ahead of them.
