2. Oregon shows it has a defense, too

For all the hype and headlines that are given to Justin Herbert and the Oregon offense, the defense has really found itself making big plays and quieting the opposition to success through three games.

Montana might not have the depth of Football Bowl Subdivision teams competing at the Football Championship Subdivision level, but they are a vaunted offense that had scored 92 points in the first two weeks of the season.

Oregon silenced all of that, limiting them to just 242 total yards on the night. The ground game for the Grizzlies was non-existent, averaging a paltry 0.4 yards per carry.

The Ducks stepped up on third downs and won the turnover battle, key signs to stress by the coaching staff moving forward.
