We are a quarter of the way through the college football season and things are heating up. If you’re looking for must-watch games, you’re in the right place.

Three weeks are behind us and teams are starting to separate themselves from the pack. That being said, the middle of the rankings on down is still in question and this week will go a long way in showing who belongs where. I missed last week but still made my picks.

As it stands right now, I’m 28-8.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into Friday night.

No. 10 Utah at USC

This is the game that will prove that Utah is for real or not and the one that will show if USC needs a new head coach or not. A once-promising season has turned sour with just one loss for the Trojans, just think what two losses will do to that fan base.

For Utah, they have started the season 3-0 and have moved into the top 10. That won’t last long if they lose this one though. Since 1916 though, when Utah beat USC at home, the Utes are 0-7 since. That may change with Zack Moss running in the backfield for the Utes.

Prediction: Utah wins this one easily and Clay Helton’s hot seat becomes unbearable.

Air Force at No. 20 Boise State

Boise State sits within the group of two Group of Five teams that have the chance to make a push at a New Year’s Six Bowl. Air Force isn’t too shabby either, starting 2-0 with a win over Colorado. A win for either team would propel them into that New Year’s Six conversation as a big-time contender.

Prediction: Boise State wins a low-scoring affair that is decided by turnovers.
