1. Florida may just mess around and win the SEC East

Let’s pump the breaks just a bit. Florida has plenty of talent and it’s showed even after Feleipe Franks has gone down that not all is lost, but the East will still be an intriguing race.

The division will likely come down to two teams: Georgia and Florida. The Gators looked like the more impressive team against a lesser opponent on Saturday as Notre Dame showed that the Bulldogs aren’t untouchable. Sure, Georgia still won, but it was only a six-point game and it didn’t look all that dominant.

Florida led from beginning to end and Kyle Trask had another solid game. On top of that, the defense was suffocating and the run game showed flashes of a resurgence with all that talent in the backfield.

Missouri might give Georgia and Florida a run for their money until it faces a decent team, but the division is not “easy” with Georgia on top.

Florida has what it takes to make life difficult for the Bulldogs in their quest for an SEC title, but to say the Gators might mess around and win it easily would be foolish.
