2. Shea Patterson’s confidence wasn’t shattered vs. Wisconsin

Despite everyone placing blame on him for a blowout loss and ugly offensive performance against Wisconsin, Shea Patterson came out and was more than ready to take on the Scarlet Knights. His confidence wasn’t an issue as he looked comfortable all afternoon long and had one of his best games as Michigan’s quarterback.

Patterson didn’t finish the game as the Wolverines’ quarterback and it wasn’t because he was benched, rather Michigan was up by so much that Joe Milton got an opportunity to showcase his skills in garbage time.

The senior quarterback finished the game 17-for-23 with 276 yards and a touchdown with a tough interception late in the third quarter on a jump ball to Nico Collins. He was dropping dimes against a porous Rutgers secondary all afternoon long and that’s huge for him and the offense moving forward.

Patterson’s skin is thicker than we thought.
