Stanford football came away with the victory vs. Oregon State snapping a three-game losing streak. Here are three takeaways from the last-second win.

Thanks to a last-second field goal from the Stanford kicker Jet Toner, the Cardinal were able to snap a three-game losing streak and come away with a win in Corvallis. Fill in quarterback David Mills had a great game for Stanford throwing for over 245 yards and three touchdowns. Although Mills is not a guy that is going to light up the stat sheet, he was able to be efficient and protect the football.

Stanford was able to come out of this Pac-12 matchup with no turnovers and do everything they needed to do to come away with the victory. Oregon State gave the Cardinal a scare after scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter and tying the game up late in the game. Running back Artavis Pierce accounted for 187 yards of total offense and led the team with two touchdowns for the Beavers.

Stanford was able to hang on as they drove down the field with just seconds left, able to knock home the field goal for a very last-second win on the road. The Cardinal are now 2-3 overall and improve to 1-2 in the Pac-12 while Oregon State drops to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference. Pac-12 After Dark certainly did not disappoint this week with a last-second thriller to cap off the Saturday slate.
