2. Javian Hawkins is the real deal

If you’re looking for one of the most underrated offensive weapons in the ACC, you may not have to search any further than Louisville. The Cardinals are lucky to have an exciting player like Javian Hawkins in the backfield and he took plenty of pressure off the quarterbacks on Saturday, just like he has all season long.

Coming into Saturday’s game, the freshman running back had 390 yards and a touchdown on 5.9 yards per carry but he added to that total and even improved the average with 25 rushes for 172 yards and a touchdown.

It’s hard to take him down even with his 5-foot-9, 182-pound frame because, well, it’s not easy to catch up to or corral him. He’s quick with the ball in his hands and has excellent vision. He continued his torrid pace on Saturday afternoon.

On the season, the freshman is averaging over 110 yards per game and looks to be one of the biggest surprises in the ACC.

Watch out for the next 3-4 years, folks, because Hawkins is the real deal.
