2. Arizona, Colorado deny the Trojans a Pac-12 victory in October

Rolling off a miserable loss to Notre Dame, the Trojans will begin their downfall. I don’t know what Kevin Sumlin is doing at Arizona, but it is working. Arizona is currently tied with Oregon as the only team left in the Pac-12 not to lose a conference game. That trend will continue. The Wildcats will win a close one against the Huskies on the 12th and then go on to absolutely embarrass the Trojans the following week.

Colorado is also on the up and up. Mel Tucker is doing great things for the Buffaloes. They may not be as successful as Arizona, but they still are talented team. That being said, Colorado did suffer a loss to an iffy Air Force squad. But, the Buffaloes have plenty of chances to redeem themselves leading into the USC game. It will be a very close one, possibly an overtime or two, but I feel that Colorado will find a way to pull it out and defeat the Trojans.

If that indeed plays out, then that leaves USC football in a bad spot. That will mean that the Trojans went the entire month of October with no wins, including two conference losses.
