College football’s regular season has reached the midway point. With conference races taking more focus, who should be on upset alert for Week 8?

It is now mid-October and most FBS teams have played at least six games with a few outliers only playing five. We have reached the halfway point of the college football season. This is when things get really exciting as conference title chases and the race for the College Football Playoff take shape. There is still plenty of exciting football left to be played.

Thanks go out to Dante Pryor for filling in for the Week 7 upset alert last week. Dante went 1-4 in his picks, but the one he got correct was a big one.

Louisville went to Winston-Salem and walked away victorious over previously unbeaten Wake Forest. It was a wild game with a final score of 62-59 in regulation no less and a fourth quarter featuring a combined 45 points. Both teams were allergic to defense with nearly 1,200 combined total yards and 62 combined first downs.

Week 8 could present some challenges for a few ranked teams who will be on the road. With those challenges comes good potential for some upsets. With the odds presented by Bovada, here are our five upset alert picks for Week 8.
