2. Bo Nix is a conundrum

What is Bo Nix? Does anyone really know what the freshman really can bring to the table? One day he looks like an Auburn legend and the next he looks like a kid playing his first game ever.

Nix is plenty talented and he has a strong arm with dual-threat capabilities, but it seems as if the staff doesn’t trust him enough to let him sling the ball around the field. He didn’t struggle against Arkansas, but his numbers were pedestrian.

The freshman took more shots as the game went on and he finished 12-for-17 with 176 yards and three touchdowns. His numbers looked better at the end of the game even though he was stuck on 13 attempts through the better part of three quarters.

We saw the good of Nix on Saturday but he just wasn’t given the green light. Gus Malzahn must want his offense to run the ball more and that was obvious.

Sure, the monster lead had something to do with it, but let this kid gain some confidence.
