1. Scott Sattefield is already making a difference

When Scott Satterfield took over at Louisville prior to the 2019 season, it was clear that the former App State head coach had a project on his hands. The Cardinals weren’t going to be turned around in just a few months, but he has done just that.

No, Louisville isn’t going to be contending for any titles this season, but the Cardinals look like one of the top-half teams in the ACC, even after getting blown out by Clemson.

A year ago, this Louisville team looked like one of the worst in the country and Bobby Petrino had driven the program right into the ground. He was done living off the magic of Lamar Jackson and the program looked like a pushover in the ACC. Satterfield has changed that quickly.

Louisville has been able to exceed expectations through nine weeks, beating teams like Virginia and Wake Forest on the road.

One could argue that if Louisville and Notre Dame played today, the Cardinals would win. That’s how big of an effect Satterfield has had on this program in less than a year.
