After starting the season 3-1, the Bulldogs lost four in a row. This season when you need a win, you hope to have Arkansas on your schedule. Well, good thing the Bulldogs played the Razorbacks this past weekend.

One of the themes of these power rankings is, “Coaches on the move — maybe.” Joe Moorhead’s name has been linked to the Rutgers job, and he’s ducked questions like Mick ducked Clubber Lang in Rocky III. With Greg Schiano trending up in Piscataway, time to call those rumors off, coach.

On the field, they get the week off looking to the last three games of their schedule. With Alabama coming up on Nov. 16, the Egg Bowl just might be for a shot to go to a bowl for the Bulldogs.

We decided to pony up and take all the legendary coaches to the amusement park. Who knew Coach Dooley was such a risk taker. I told him rollercoasters at the SEC power rankings headquarters are about as popular as Jim McElwain was with the Florida press. Good thing South Carolina coach Will Muschamp was with us; he seems to love rollercoasters.

The Gamecocks started their season losing 3-of-4, then won two straight and now they’ve lost two in a row. They need to win 2-of-3 to become bowl eligible. Is Muschamp a chili cheese fries kind of guy? He is. Well, I’m not sitting next to him on this rollercoaster.

No team in the SEC needed a bye week more than the Missouri Tigers. After a sloppy loss at Wyoming to open the season, the Tigers went on a five-game winning streak and positioned themselves in the SEC East hunt.

Then Vanderbilt happened; they followed that 14-point performance with a seven-pointer against Kentucky. The seven points against a really good Kentucky defense is understandable, but how do you give up 29 points to a team that can’t throw? You know they can’t throw, and they know they can’t throw. Yet you can’t stop what’s coming.

Well the next three teams are pretty much the same. You know what’s coming against Georgia, Florida and Tennessee; let’s see if they can stop it.
