2. Justin Fields will have his Heisman moment

Although this is a new game — for some reason — it will have the feel of a playoff elimination battle with the winner getting all the spoils, most notably a leg up in the playoff race. The loser? Well, the loser is all but eliminated from playoff contention — Ohio State would have a stronger case to make it with a loss in this one.

Ohio State needs someone to step up on the big stage and it will be Justin Fields. He has yet to throw the ball more than 25 times in a single game with the Buckeyes and that will change on Saturday as he hits 30 attempts. He’ll complete 22 of them for 325 yards and three touchdowns and he’ll have his “Heisman moment”.

What is a Heisman moment? It’s a play that is looked back on as the turning point in a player’s Heisman campaign.

Right now, Fields is No. 3 in the race behind Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts, but he’ll jump the latter with a big game and a moment that will have the entire city of Columbus in awe.

Will Fields win the Heisman? Probably not, but if he does, this game and this moment will be the main reason.
