1. Dru Brown did his job

When Spencer Sanders was ruled out for the remainder of the regular season, it was clear Dru Brown had one job in the final two weeks: keep the Cowboys in games.

Well, he did just that by throwing the ball well to a tune of 22-of-29 for 196 yards and two touchdowns. He took advantage of having the beast that is Chuba Hubbard in the backfield and even utilized him in the passing game more than Sanders had done.

Brown wasn’t spectacular, by any means, but he did just enough to make sure disaster at West Virginia was averted.

Down by three points after three quarters, Brown didn’t panic in the second half and remained consistent, leading Oklahoma State to 10 fourth-quarter points which happened to be the difference. The Hawaii-transfer has the experience, he just needed to prove he could compete at a high level and he did just that.

Oklahoma State should be in solid hands heading into Bedlam in Week 14 with Brown gaining some confidence in this one. Either way, he did his job on Saturday against the Mountaineers.
