1. Can we just build a Kyle Trask statue yet?

OK, this is obviously a joke — maybe a half-joke — but Kyle Trask has been nothing short of a Gator hero this season after Feleipe Franks went down with a season-ending injury at Kentucky.

It seemed like the season was over after Franks went down with an injury, but Trask came right in and showed that he was ready for the spotlight. Not only did he lead the Gators to a comeback win over the Wildcats on the road, but he has led them to a 10-win season and near SEC East title — a win over Georgia would have solidified this made-up statue idea.

The junior quarterback, and former two-star recruit, had yet another big game, completing 30-of-41 throws for 343 yards and three touchdowns and looked as steady as he’s been all year. He’s been one of the most reliable quarterbacks in the SEC and he may have just won the starting job over Franks for next year — the position just got a heck of a lot more interesting.

Trask finished the season with over 2,500 yards and 24 touchdowns with six picks and a completion percentage that’s approaching 70 while going 8-2 as a starter. Not many backups can do that.
