Florida Football: 6 potential landing spots for Feleipe Franks
By Dante Pryor
1. Florida State
Florida makes sense for two reasons. First, Feleipe Franks is a Florida kid. Specifically, he grew up a 30-minute drive from Florida State University in Crawfordville. Second, the Florida State quarterback situation is as fluid as any in the country. Whoever the next coach of the Seminoles is, he probably wants his guy behind center.
The Seminoles have four-star dual-threat quarterback Jeff Sims coming in next year, but the next coach of the Seminoles might not start a true freshman.
If that’s the case, there’s a really good chance there would be an open competition for the starting job at Florida State.
There’s not a school anywhere outside of Vanderbilt where Franks is going to be the incoming starter. Florida State is the one school that could have as open a competition as any. He’d be coming home, and could give the new coaching regime time to develop their guy.
