2. Boise State is arguably the top Group of Five team

Boise State finished the season with a 12-1 record and their only loss was against BYU. They were in the discussion to be the Group of Five team that makes the Cotton Bowl, but ultimately Memphis made it.

However, Boise State is still one of the top — if the not the top — schools from the Group of Five and they have been in the top-tier for a while now.

Boise State started off the season with an upset win over Florida State. Since then, they have had some up and down performances by their standard. They have blown out some teams as well as let some teams hang around that they are much better than. Boise State is coming off of winning the Mountain West title as well. They have been in the championship game the past three years, while winning two of them.

True freshman quarterback Hank Bachmeier had Boise State off to a good start this season before he got injured. Since his injury, the Broncos have had several quarterbacks play, but Jaylon Henderson took over the majority of reps the last few games and help lead Boise State to the championship.

Whoever is under center for the Broncos will be face a tough Washington defense.
