Back to the defensive side of the ball. After a disappointing season on this side, Dave Aranda will be looking to the young guys for help getting back to the days of dominance — that is if Aranda sticks around and doesn’t bolt for a head coaching job.

I was going to go with Jaquelin Roy at this spot, but the four-star defensive tackle will be facing an uphill battle with guys like Tyler Shelvin, Siaki Ika and Joseph Evans all presumably returning and sitting atop the depth chart. I think Roy will be a dominant force at nose tackle whenever he gets his shot, but that might not be for a year or two.

Sticking with the theme of the article, BJ Ojulari is a guy who I believe will have an instant impact for the Tigers.

Both Rashard Lawrence and Breiden Fehoko are graduating, leaving a void at the defensive end position opposite Glen Logan and even he will be a senior. That means that we could see a ton of Ojulari in 2020 as long as he adds some good weight. Right now, he’s just 225 pounds and 6-foot-3, but he can be a beast if he adds 15-20 more.

Ojulari is ranked the No. 130 player in the class as well as the seventh-best weak-side defensive end, according to 247Sports.
