6. Kellen Mond, QB

This one seems obvious, but I really can’t make a players to watch list without the quarterback- the man who leads the entire offense. He will be the more experienced quarterback on the field, as Oklahoma State’s Spencer Sanders is a redshirt freshman who will be coming back from thumb surgery just last month.

Will Mond be able to lead his offense the way he wants to against a strong Oklahoma State defense? They are one of the hotter defenses in the country and possibly one of the best in the Big 12. Will his offensive line be able to protect him well enough to allow him the time he needs to throw the ball or establish any kind of run game? That is something that we will have to watch all game long.

Look for Kellen Mond to really step up and be the leader this game, something that the Aggies will truly need from him. He will lead his offense and as a result, the defense will be able to run better knowing that the offense is doing its job. Of course, that will come down to if the offensive line sets him up for success, but like I said that will be something that we won’t know will or will not happen until the game is happening.
