2. George Pickens, Zamir White show a bright future for Georgia

Georgia was missing a lot of personnel in this one. However, the two freshmen were the majority of the offense for Jake Fromm and the Georgia Bulldogs. George Pickens was the go-to wideout in the first half and was a large part of the 19-0 halftime lead that the Bulldogs went into the locker room with. He had 11 catches and over 100 yards by then, accounting for almost all of Fromm’s 14 first-half completions. He finished with 12 catches for 175 yards and a touchdown.

Add in running back Zamir White, who put up 192 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. With Swift likely gone for the NFL, it is all about White in 2020 and he kicked off this new year in style for sure.

Will the rest of the offense be ready for 2020, especially if Jake Fromm declares for the draft? Who knows, but these two will be ready to go for the year for sure. Whether it’ll be enough to win the SEC East again and find a way into the Playoff or the New Year’s Six again — that remains to be seen for sure.
