1. The Georgia defense deserves a trophy

Baylor is a huge offensive team. They play in the Big 12, where defense is played a little differently — if at all.

They are used to putting up big numbers and playing keep-away with opponents. That wasn’t the case tonight as Georgia made sure that they held onto the ball and put points on the board when they had it. This isn’t to take anything away from Matt Rhule and what he has been able to do at Baylor, but Georgia’s offense had their way.

Let’s say this, though: Georgia’s defense doesn’t get the credit they deserve and they proved once again in this one that they are a force to be reckoned with. Holding Baylor to 14 points when they average about 25-30 is something special.

Yeah, they will give the game ball to George Pickens, but man did this defense put on a show tonight even as depleted as they were on both sides of the ball.
