As National Signing Day nears and the decision of McKinnley Jackson takes center stage, Alabama is gearing up to add a star to its 2020 class.

While there are still other contenders for his services such as Texas A&M, Auburn and LSU but the Crimson Tide look to be the favorites for the Mississippi-based product. He unofficially visited Alabama on Jan. 18 and Nick Saban paid him a visit on Jan. 30 which was one day before his trip to College Station for an official with Texas A&M. The Tide are putting in the work here.

And it all seems to be paying off as the Crimson Tide are considered the favorites to land the No. 61 prospect in the country who is also the No. 1 player from Mississippi and the ninth-best defensive tackle in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Jackson is a massive 6-2, 327-pound defensive tackle who was also named to the Army All-American Bowl and is surprisingly athletic for his size — sub-5.0 40-yard dash time.
