Finally moving on to an early enrollee who could have an impact as early as this spring, Enzo Jennings from Oak Park, Mich., could help fill in as Garrett Taylor is gone and Lamont Wade is entering his senior season.

If the Nittany Lions want to groom the next star at safety, Jennings has to be the go-to prospect. He is the No. 134 prospect and seventh-best safety in the class. James Franklin went into the state of Michigan and stole Jennings away from the Wolverines as well as Michigan State and a plethora of programs in the Midwest — he was a prized prospect.

Jennings stands 6-foot-1 and weighs about 185 pounds and runs a 4.64 40-yard dash as well as a 4.06 shuttle. His athleticism is evident and it’s more evident when you see his numbers and his 37.5-inch vertical. This kid is a freak athlete.

The defense needs some young blood injected into it and that’s where a kid like Jennings could come in and complement Wade. He may not start next season, but he should see time in the defensive backfield right away.

The Nittany Lions have a lot of questions on the defense heading into the 2020 season and that’s where Jennings can help.
