Christian Fitzpatrick was being recruited by some in-state schools in Michigan and they wanted to keep him close to home, but he chose to venture south a bit for the Louisville Cardinals.

For Louisville, it loses one Fitzpatrick in Dez and gains another in his younger brother Christian. If the bloodlines have anything to say, this addition is huge for the Cardinals roster. Dez was one of the better receivers Louisville has had over the past few years and a sure-handed target and now he’ll be giving way to Christian who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs in at around 210 pounds.

The size of Christian is intriguing and he’s been compared to an NFL wide out in Auden Tate of the Cincinnati Bengals by Allen Trieu of 247Sports.

Fitzpatrick is ranked the No. 737 prospect in the class as well as the 116th-best receiver, according to the 247Sports composite. He will help not only with the loss of his brother in the receiving corps in 2020 but also Seth Dawkins.

Tutu Atwell will be back, so there’s one starter returning, but don’t be surprised if Fitzpatrick enters the starting rotation as well.
