While I think Alante Brown might have a leg up on Zavier Betts at the receiver position because he’s enrolled early, the talent of the incoming freshman will more than make up for lost time.

Betts is the No. 111 overall prospect and No. 20 wide receiver in the country, according to 247Sports. He has solid size at 6-foot-2 and 196 pounds and runs a 4.59 40-yard dash, 4.09-second shuttle and has a 38.6-inch vertical. He’s what you’d call a freak athlete and should see the field right away for the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska has one of the best incoming receiver classes in the Big Ten and we’ll see the effects of it right away with JD Spielman as one of the top returning wide outs in the conference.

The Nebraska-native is the No. 1 prospect from the state and should help turn that offense around immediately.

Betts and Brown should combine for one of the best one-two incoming punches at wide receiver in the conference and then you add in the JUCO’s top receiver prospect, Omar Manning, and you have one of the best new units in the country.
