Marvin Mims was one of the last commits in Oklahoma’s 2020 class as he pledged to the Sooners in November and decided to enroll early in January.

The four-star receiver, with no relation (at least none that we know) to Baylor’s Denzel Mims, is Oklahoma’s top-ranked receiver in the class and he should be able to see the field immediately. With Lee Morris and CeeDee Lamb gone, there are a couple of spots open on the depth chart at receiver. Nick Basquine is also gone while Charleston Rambo returns as the top target.

Who can complement Rambo next season? Jadon Haselwood is a solid pick as well as Theo Wease, but don’t sleep on Mims.

The early enrollee was listed as the No. 168 overall prospect and 30th-best receiver in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports, and he has plenty of speed and great hands for a 6-foot-0, 173-pound target.

Oklahoma will have an incredibly young offense next season, especially the receiving corps, and we should see Mims fit right in.
