It’s hard to believe that Indiana’s only four-star recruit won’t see the field this season. Not only is RaShawn Williams a highly-touted recruit, but he’s the Hoosiers’ ninth-highest rated recruit ever.

Of their top six wide receivers, they only lose two, but Williams should see snaps next season. He has good size at 6-1, he separates well and does a good job of high-pointing the ball. The Hoosiers have some three-star freshmen, however, Williams comes more highly-touted than anyone they have currently. He will make a great addition as a third receiver with Ty Fryfogle and Whop Philyor.

Another reason Williams is such an important recruit is that head coach Tom Allen was able to out recruit Jim Harbaugh, PJ Fleck as well as Ed Orgeron. He got Williams to spurn Michigan, LSU, Kentucky and Michigan State to go to Indiana. This shows Indiana is a player in recruiting.

They won’t get many four or five star players, but if they can get one or two, then they can consistently go to the postseason. Also, this shows Indiana wants to grab talent that can play right away in addition to developing players.
