Aug. 29. Dublin (Ireland). Navy Midshipmen. 1. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 944

Navy is coming off its best season in school history in 2019, going 11-2 and completing an epic turnaround from a forgetful 3-10 campaign the year before.

But there’s going to be a new face under center as Malcolm Perry is gone and he has given way to Perry Olsen, who was a freshman last year, and junior Dalen Morris. There’s some uncertainty on offense because of that and this season opener will reflect a shaky quarterback situation.

Played in Dublin, there’s no real home-field advantage here, but you have to give the nod to the Irish in Ireland.

Final Score: Navy 17, Notre Dame 30 (1-0)

Notre Dame will get a bye after its game in Ireland to open the season and then the Irish will return home to face an Arkansas team heading into a new era under Sam Pittman.

The Chad Morris experiment failed and the Razorbacks are starting over from scratch and while they may be contenders a few years down the line, they’re not going to be all that competitive in 2020. The Irish will realize this early on and take complete advantage.

Final Score: Arkansas 13, Notre Dame 37 (2-0)
