South Alabama did not have the best season in 2019 — and that’s putting it nicely. The Jaguars finished 2-10 and had just one win in the Sun Belt. The Jaguars got blown out by Memphis, App State, UAB and lost to Nebraska by two touchdowns.

More of the same will take place in 2020 as the Jaguars won’t have the firepower to keep up with the big boys, especially a hungry Florida team at home.

The Gators will use this as a confidence-booster heading back into SEC play the following week.

Final Score: South Alabama 3, Florida 41 (3-0)

Tennessee made one heck of a turnaround in 2019. The Volunteers lost to BYU and Georgia State as they had the look of massive disappointments, but something clicked in Jeremy Pruitt’s squad midway through the season.

There’ll be a quarterback controversy heading into the season with Brian Maurer and Jarrett Guarantano looking to make a push for the starting job, but Harrison Bailey, too, will get a look. If the Volunteers can effectively figure out the quarterback position, they’ll be dangerous this season.

Florida will eke out a one-touchdown victory here.

Final Score: Florida 35, Tennessee 28 (4-0, 2-0)
