Like Mississippi State, Arkansas is going through a transition period as the Razorbacks, too, have a new coach. Sam Pittman is inheriting a much worse situation, though, as Arkansas was incredibly unsuccessful under Chad Morris and recruiting wasn’t impressive either.

Pittman will turn the program around, but the Razorbacks are going to have a rough start to the season and will be 1-1 heading into this one, losing in blowout fashion to Notre Dame the week before. They’ll be down on their spirits and it’ll show.

Mississippi State will get its first SEC win of the Mike Leach era here as KJ Costello has a big game and wins some fans over.

Final Score: Arkansas 27, Mississippi State 38 (3-0, 1-0 SEC)

Although Tulane finished 7-6, the Green Wave were above average on both sides of the ball under Willie Fritz. Will they be more impressive in 2020?

Tulane doesn’t stand much of a chance here, especially since this is a home game for Mississippi State, but that doesn’t mean the Green Wave can’t give the Bulldogs a little scare for at least one half.

Final Score: Tulane 17, Mississippi State 34 (4-0)
