This pick was originally the Los Angeles Rams’ pick before they traded for Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey. At the defensive tackle position, they will a player that can contribute at the three-technique and the one-technique. TCU’s Ross Blacklock will be a player that fits into the scheme of the Jaguars perfectly.
Last season for the Horned Frogs, Blacklock accounted for nine tackles for loss and 40 total tackles. He is a player that continually loses weight, which will make him more versatile for the NFL. He will likely play closer to the center as he doesn’t have the quickness but still can maneuver.
The Jaguars will look to make Blacklock contribute at a steady pace in his rookie season especially after suffering a ruptured Achilles in the 2018 season.
