The city of Clarkston, Mich., has two big targets in the recruiting landscape for the Irish — as you’ll soon find out — and the first is four-star offensive tackle Grant Dellinger.

LSU is the current favorite to land the Michigan-native but Notre Dame is hoping to keep him in the Midwest but that won’t be easy. The Irish will have to beat out heavy favorite LSU along with Michigan, Penn State and Alabama. That’s a killer group of potential suitors but the way Notre Dame has been recruiting lately, it’s a battle the Irish could win.

Notre Dame is looking to build that offensive line back up after losing multiple guys to the NFL over the years and Dellinger would be a heck of an addition.

Dellinger is ranked the No. 77 overall prospect in the 2021 class as well as the 12th-best offensive tackle, per 247Sports. He’s also the No. 5 recruit from the state of Michigan, listed as one of the Midwest’s top overall prospects.

Can the Irish beat out the reigning national champs for Dellinger?
