Florida football has plenty of talent to choose from in the state of Florida for the 2021 recruiting class. Who tops the Gators’ list?

The 2021 recruiting class is absolutely loaded with talent, especially in the Gators’ home state of Florida and that will benefit Dan Mullen who is looking to recruit his own backyard.

Since arriving at Florida, Mullen has been one of the best recruiters in the SEC and it’s amazing what the head coach can do with more resources at his disposal. He has been reeling in some of the nation’s top high school talent and that’s why we’re seeing the Gators performing at even higher levels than they were under Jim McElwain and Will Muschamp.

It’s crazy what kind of success a top coach can have in Gainesville.

The 2021 class could end up being Mullen’s best yet and he currently has 13 verbal pledges, ranking the Gators fourth nationally in the class and No. 1 in the SEC. Sure, there’s a long way to go, but Florida has some big names left on the board and there’s probably room for at least 10 more commitments.

Florida may not have to go very far for some of the top names on their board as the state is one of the best in the country at producing college-level and NFL talent.

Who tops the list of targets for the Gators in the state of Florida in 2021?
