USC Football: 5 potential transfer destinations for JT Daniels
By Dante Pryor
2. Michigan
JT Daniels is a California guy. More specifically, he is an LA kid. It is hard to fathom Daniels leaving California or the Pac-12 footprint. If he does decide to transfer, however, he could use his injury like a redshirt to get a waiver. It has never been done, but there is an argument to be made.
The Wolverines are not shy about using the portal to get a quarterback. That is where they got Shea Patterson. The question for the Wolverines is how much do they like Dylan McCaffery and Joe Milton.
Ann Arbor is not an automatic start for Daniels either. McCaffery and Milton both have a year in offensive coordinator Josh Gattis’ system. Not only that, how much of an upgrade would Daniels be over their two incumbent quarterbacks?
Michigan does, however, return a lot of talent even with the transfer of wide receiver Tarik Black. They return their two leading receivers from last season in Ronnie Bell and Nico Collins. Chris Evans, suspended last season, has been reinstated and will play next season as well.
It is unclear if Michigan has any interest, but Ann Arbor would be a good spot for Daniels should he leave Pac-12 country.
