Pick Analysis. Florida. Jonathan Greenard. 30. Scouting Report. EDGE. 3. player

In his lone year at Florida, Jonathan Greenard established himself as the Gators’ top defensive prospect in this year’s draft. After transferring from Louisville, he made 10 sacks in 2019 with 16 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovered for a touchdown to earn first-team All-SEC honors.

The 6-4 edge rusher is the perfect fit for the New York Jets. New York will have a real chance at the AFC East with Tom Brady now in Tampa and a pass rusher like Greenard is among their top needs.

With the pick obtained after trading edge rusher Leonard Williams to the Giants, drafting his replacement in Greenard would make sense.

Projection: Third round (Jets)
