College Football: 5 Power Five coaches on the hot seat entering 2020
4. Scott Frost, Nebraska
When the Huskers lured their former quarterback Scott Frost away from UCF, many believed it was a home run hire. Frost led the Knights to a perfect 13-0 season that included a 34-27 Peach Bowl victory over Auburn.
Instead of a home run, the Frost era has been a disaster so far in Lincoln. In 2018 started the season 0-6 and finished the season just 4-8. In year two, the Huskers suffered another losing season as they went just 5-7.
This adds up to just a 9-17 record for Frost at Nebraska and with the Huskers desperately looking to return to their 1990s glory days and playing in a winnable Big Ten West, the time to start turning the time for Frost is now.
If the Huskers suffer yet another losing season in 2020, it will be hard for the fan base to believe that Frost truly is turning around the program, which could lead the former Husker quarterback turned head coach to lose his job.
This should be doable as Nebraska will not face any non-conference Power Five foes and have several of their most difficult matchups such as Penn State and Minnesota at home.
