Elijah Moore came to Ole Miss as a four-star recruit in the 2018 class and immediately had an impact on the offense, catching 36 passes for 398 yards and two touchdowns. He saw his numbers more than double as a sophomore, earning third-team All-SEC honors.

In fact, Moore went off for 850 yards and six touchdowns on 67 receptions which led the team by a wide margin. He was the only receiver on the team to surpass the 200-yard mark.

Will the fact that Ole Miss should have a better quarterback situation under Lane Kiffin and therefore better receivers affect Moore’s numbers? Will he get as many targets in 2020 even if he’s not the only receiver with a pulse? It’s tough to say.

Moore should be an All-SEC candidate heading into the 2020 season and he should make the second or first-team by the end of the year.

Will he decide to go pro after his junior year? It depends on his production and if NFL teams are willing to take a shot with a slightly undersized slot receiver. He has the speed and hands, but size might be a concern. If he surpasses 1,000 yards, though, he could be the best skill position player on Ole Miss heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.
