No quarterback in Texas‘ rich history put on a show quite like Vince Young.

Young took home Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year honors in 2003 after throwing for 1,155 yards and rushing for 998 and 11 touchdowns to lead Texas to a 10-3 season and a trip to the Holiday Bowl.

In 2004, he led the Longhorns to a Rose Bowl win over Michigan after throwing for 1,849 yards and 12 touchdowns with 1,079 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

He saved his best football for last as in 2005 he led the Longhorns to a perfect 13-0 season and national championship after throwing for 3,036 yards and 26 touchdowns with 1,050 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Young won the Maxwell Award, Manning Award, Davey O’Brien Award, Big 12 Player of the Year, earned consensus All-American honors and was the Heisman Trophy runner-up.

Young finished his three-year college career seventh in Texas history in passing yards (6,040), sixth in passing touchdowns (44) and rushing yards (3,127) and fourth in rushing touchdowns (37).

The former Texas star was drafted with the third overall pick of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Titans, where he was named to two Pro Bowls.
