If you’re looking for a College Football Playoff sleeper for 2020, your search may be over with Florida football. The Gators have a very favorable schedule.

The 2020 season looks to be moving forward with student-athletes gearing up for a return to campus and that’s big news for Florida especially because the Gators are one of those teams that could appear in their first College Football Playoff ever.

Florida is the favorite to win the SEC East this season and with the season likely making a comeback, the reason for optimism is high. This could finally be Florida’s year.

Dan Mullen has been recruiting at a high level, the Gators return star quarterback Kyle Trask who some have considered to be a dark-horse Heisman candidate as well as a solid defense and weapons galore on offense.

What makes the 2020 season even more enticing for the Gators is the fact that they have arguably one of the easiest schedules in the SEC and potentially in the Power Five as well.

Don’t believe me? Outside of Georgia, LSU, Kentucky and Tennessee, the Gators don’t really face any major competition. Kentucky and Tennessee are games they should win, LSU is going to take a slight step back with Joe Burrow’s departure and Tennessee might not be “there” yet under Jeremy Pruitt. Plus, only one of those matchups is a true road game.

Let’s take a look at how Florida’s 2020 opponents stack up against one another in terms of toughness.
