LSU Football: Ranking Tigers’ 2020 opponents by toughness
Florida and LSU will square off at the Swamp in 2020 for their yearly SEC East vs. West matchup. Last season the Gators put up a fight in Baton Rouge, but the Tigers came out with a 42-28 victory.
However, during their last matchup in Gainesville, Florida did pull out a victory winning the game 27-19. With an experienced roster and coming off an 11-win season, the Gators may be the favorites in the SEC East and will provide LSU with a great challenge still fairly early in conference play.
Having to go to Gainesville won’t make things easier for LSU as this game figures to be one of the marquee matchups of the entire 2020 season.
No game will be tougher for the 2020 LSU Tigers than a Nov. 7 showdown with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Last season LSU ended an eight-game losing streak against Alabama with an epic win in Tuscaloosa that also helped end the Tide’s chances for a national championship.
Entering 2020, Alabama will have one of their most experienced rosters’ in recent memory, while LSU will have to retool. Playing at home should help somewhat, but Alabama will likely be favored heading down to Death Valley seeking revenge.
