Knoxville (Tenn.). player. 822. Pick Analysis. Oct. 3. 5. Scouting Report. Missouri Tigers

In what may be a surprise to some, the Missouri Tigers are 5-3 against the Vols since they arrived in the SEC back in 2012.

Last season, the Vols earned a hard-fought 24-20 win in Columbia to snap a two-game skid of consecutive 50-17 losses to the Tigers.

Entering 2020, Missouri will be in a reboot as they lost a great deal of talent to graduation or the NFL and will be under new leadership in Eli Drinkwitz. Thus, Tennessee should be able to put their struggles against the Tigers behind and pull out a home win over Mizzou in 2020.

Final Score: Tennessee 34, Missouri 24 (3-2, 1-1)

Pick Analysis. Oct. 10. Columbia (S.C.). 6. player. Scouting Report. South Carolina Gamecocks. 850

Tennessee’s 2019 season began to turn around after they defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks 41-21 at home in Knoxville.

They will be looking to replicate that success in Week 6 when they travel to the Palmetto State to take on a Gamecocks squad likely playing for head coach Will Muschamp’s job.

South Carolina should have an improved offense with a more experienced Ryan Hilinski at quarterback and Mike Bobo now the offensive coordinator, but there are still too many questions on their defense to consider them a threat in the SEC East or to pick them over an improving Vols squad.

Final Score: Tennessee 30, South Carolina 23 (4-2, 2-1)
