The easiest game on Tennessee’s 2020 schedule will take place Week 3 when they play host to the Furman Paladins of the FCS.

Furman held their own against an FBS foe in Virginia Tech last season, losing just 24-17 and finished a solid 8-5 but did not take on an SEC program, which would likely leave them ill-prepared to head into Knoxville.

This should be the perfect time for Tennessee to grab a feel-good win after a rough matchup in Oklahoma and Florida coming into town the following week.

Final Score: Tennessee 48, Furman 7 (2-1)

4. 840. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Knoxville (Tenn.). Florida Gators. Sept. 26. player

The Gators have dominated the Volunteers the last 15 years as they’ve won 14 of their past 15 meetings with the lone Vols win coming in 2016 by 10 points in Knoxville.

Each of the past two seasons, Florida hasn’t even let the Vols hang around winning 47-21 in 2018 and 34-3 last season. With Kyle Trask under center and a veteran group on the offensive line and defense, the Gators figure to be tough for Tennessee to handle.

While this game should be far closer than the previous two seasons, especially with the game being in Knoxville, it’s hard to pick against the Gators here.

Final Score: Florida 31, Tennessee 23 (2-2, 0-1)
