Tennessee Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2020 season
The Third Saturday in October rivalry matchup between Alabama and Tennessee has been completely one-sided since Nick Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa as Alabama began their current 13-year win streak in Saban’s first season leading the program in 2007.
Not only has Alabama racked up 13 straight wins, but many of the matchups have not been close as only twice did the Vols come within one possession of victory (2009, 2015).
The 2020 matchup again figures to favor Alabama as while Tennessee may keep things more competitive than prior years, the Tide figure to roll past the Vols even with the game being up on Rocky Top.
Final Score: Alabama 52, Tennessee 30 (4-3, 2-2)
Tennessee will likely go from matching up with the SEC favorite to team most likely to finish in the basement as they’ll take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 8.
The Hogs have not won a conference game since 2017 and figure to be in for another long season despite a change at head coach with Sam Pittman now leading the way.
Winning on the road in the SEC is never easy, but the Vols should be able to do enough to get a win over Arkansas and move into November just one win from locking up a second straight bowl bid.
Final Score: Tennessee 38, Arkansas 21 (5-3, 3-2)
