This was an easy choice for No. 12 because, well, UTEP was one of the worst teams in all of college football a season ago. I mean, the Miners just aren’t good.

After narrowly winning their season-opener over Houston Baptist, the Miners went on to lose 11 straight games and nine of those were by double-digits. There’s a belief that Dana Dimel and the Miners will finish with 1-2 wins yet again and that would drop the third-year head coach’s record to just 3-33 during his time in El Paso. Only seven starters return to a poor roster.

From one disappointing Group of Five team to another. South Florida could soon see a turnaround as a program with Charlie Strong gone and Jeff Scott in town, but the 2020 season could be a mess.

The Bulls were just 4-8 a year ago and return 13 starters but if the offense doesn’t figure things out, it’ll be a long season. Luckily Scott knows offense and he can help turn the nation’s No. 112 unit from 2019 around quickly. There is very little production returning and Texas should have its way with the Bulls.
