Sept. 19. 3. 2117. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Gainesville (Fla.). South Alabama Jaguars. player

This will be Florida’s second non-conference game until the final week of the season and it is another game that Gator fans will hoping will be over quickly and without injury.

South Alabama is one of the worst programs in the Sun Belt conference and are coming off a dismal 2-10 season and have not been to a bowl game since 2016 and the Jaguars have not won more than six games since joining the Sun Belt in 2012.

This game will be over quickly and then Florida can turn their attention to the SEC schedule that awaits him.

Final Score: Florida 45, South Alabama 14 (3-0)

Tennessee Volunteers. player. Sept. 26. Knoxville (Tenn.). 4. 839. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

For the first road game of the season for the Gators, Florida will travel to Neyland Stadium to take on Tennessee and for the first time in some years, there is an actual buzz around the Volunteers and their football program and this will be a chance for them to show they can contend in the SEC East.

Tennessee is returning 18 starters and will boast one of the best offensive lines in the country and should be stingy on the defensive side of the ball. A lot will rest on senior quarterback Jarrett Guarantano to take the necessary leaps for the Vols to contend.

The Vols will already be battle tested by the time that they play the Gators, as they take a trip to Norman to face Oklahoma in week two and that should be a good indicator of how good Tennessee should be in 2020.

Florida has won three straight in the series and has dominated it for the better part of the last couple of decades, as the Volunteers have only beaten the Gators three times since 2003. Make it four in a row for the Gators, but Tennessee is improving, they just aren’t ready to make the big leap yet, however.

Final Score: Florida 38, Tennessee 28 (4-0, 2-0)
