This is a matchup Notre Dame is used to seeing and just like last year, this game should end up in a lopsided victory, favoring the Irish.

AJ Dillon is gone, the defense has more questions than answers and the Eagles are under the direction of a brand new coaching staff, led by Jeff Hafley. While the rebuild is beginning, it’s not going to be over by the time this November game rolls around.

Final Score: Notre Dame 42, Boston College 9 (8-1, 7-1)

Remember when I said Clemson vs. Notre Dame would be the ACC game of the year? Well, this might just be up there in the top three. Notre Dame travels to North Carolina to face one of the quickest-rising teams in college football led by the legendary Mack Brown.

Sam Howell is a serious Heisman candidate and he’ll have many of those “moments” in this one as he out-duels Ian Book en route to a big win at home.

It’ll be a close one, but Howell will make the plays down the stretch to be the differnece.

Final Score: Notre Dame 23, North Carolina 30 (8-2, 7-2)

Even some of the conference’s “cupcakes” are led by solid head coaches who have the ability to beat anyone. Just ask Dabo Swinney what he thinks about Dino Babers and Syracuse.

The Orange are returning Tommy DeVito and Taj Harris on offense as Abdul Adams should lead the backfield, but the defense needs to start fresh after a nightmare season which led to a 5-7 record after getting into the rankings early on.

Syracuse will put up a fight early, but fade away in the second half to close the season.

Final Score: Syracuse 14, Notre Dame 35 (9-2, 8-2)
